Voluntary Information Collected

The GlobalFreedom Center is the sole owner of the information collected on the website. This website does not collect personally identifying information about users except when you voluntarily and knowingly provide it. Several of our services ask users to register and/or give us contact information that may include name, e-mail address, format preference (HTML vs. text), address, and other information. We do not store sensitive information from our visitors such as credit card numbers. The information we collect is used solely for the Center to provide users with information, track participant demographics and usage, and administer training and technical assistance. The tracking data collected allows the Center to improve our content, communication, fundraising, and services to users. Any such data will only be shared with third parties as aggregate data and will never include the names or any other identifying information about individual users. With the exception of activities administering training and technical assistance with other partners, the Global Freedom Center will never share, rent, trade or sell any of this information collected. We do not share any personally identifying information with any third party without your consent, except to a court or governmental agency if we have a good faith belief that applicable law requires it. The Center uses reasonable precautions to keep all personal information provided secure. Our mailing list is maintained by a third party service provider, Constant Contact, solely for the Center’s use. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information. The Global Freedom Center cannot be held liable or responsible for a security breach by a third party and your continued use of our Site implies that you agree to the foregoing statements. The Global Freedom Center Site is hosted by servers in the United States. Accordingly, if you are located outside of the United States, the data you voluntarily provide to us will be transferred to the United States. By submitting this data, you consent to its transfer and storage in the United States and its use in accordance with the purposes for which it was originally collected.

Children. We encourage parents and guardians to review our Privacy Policy and the Site to determine its suitability for their children.

Online Donations and Registration Fee Collection. The Global Freedom Center uses reasonable precautions to keep all personal information secure. All information provided to the Global Freedom Center is transmitted using an online form. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information. The credit card information you provide is not stored in the Global Freedom Center database and is never made available to third parties outside of services used to process credit card payments. Your name and donations may be listed in the Global Freedom Center’s publications. Should you wish to remain anonymous, please indicate that when making your donation.

Choice/Opt-Out. The Global Freedom Center provides users with the opportunity to modify or opt-out of receiving communications from us at any time. The Center gives users the following options for removing their information from our database and/or to not receive future communications.

• You can click on the "Unsubscribe" link included at the bottom of your e-mail and follow the instructions on the webpage.
• You can update your profile. After entering your user name and password, you will access your "My Global Freedom Center" page. From there, you can subscribe or unsubscribe from our e-mails.

Additional residual information may remain in our archives and records, but this information will not be used for any commercial purpose. We reserve the right to maintain information on users who have violated our Terms of Use or who have had their access to our website blocked.

Surveys. We may conduct occasional online surveys via our website or via an e-mail newsletter. These surveys are entirely voluntary and you may easily decline to participate. Survey information may be used for purposes of gauging levels of awareness about human trafficking or assessing the needs of anti-trafficking professionals and practitioners, and may be added to our databases for use by the Center as described above. The Center will only post individual survey responses with the participant’s permission. Any survey results will be posted in the aggregate, therefore the individual responses and participant information will be anonymous.

IP Addresses. As with most other Internet sites, our web server automatically recognizes the domain name of each visitor to the Site via the Internet Protocol ("IP") address.
